Les Gouttes de Dieu is a Japanese Manga about wine. It has been hugely successful in the past years in Japan and Korea.
The story goes like this : « When the prestigious oenologist Yutaka Kanzani dies, his will is very clear : his amazing wine cellar will become the property of whichever of his 2 sons solves the 12 enigmas regarding 12 wines. He will then discover a 13th mysterious wine, unknown to everyone, named « Les gouttes de Dieu ». A thriller style treasure hunt opposing the 2 brothers then starts… »
On our return from Japan, we brought back Volume 11 of this Manga where Beaucastel appears on the back cover and on the central page.
It's funny, in the televised series of this manga in Japan, they use Pegau for this part... the whole time, I thought it would be either Beaucastel or Clos des Papes for their long family history. I guess I wasn't so far off!
