Archives August 2007
We have a beautiful weather this tuesday and we picked some of the Grenache Blanc which is part of the blend or our Cotes du Rhone White Perrin Reserve.
The density is measured by mustimeter (picture).
After fermentation, this must will be blended with some Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne must in order to make our Perrin Reserve white cuvee.
We stop the harvest at 11am because the temperature is becoming too high and we want to pick only cool grapes. We will start again tomorrow at 6am.
Last it you use twitter, you can get twits of the harvest by following Marcperrin

Before and during the harvest, we check every day, every hours the weather. It could be our best or worst friend.
IThat's why we are very proud of our new weather station.
Now we can check the weather from the heart of the vineyard of Beaucastel, directly from our computer.
In real time we can check the temperature, the rain, the relative humidity, the wind speed, the wind direction...
Lovely day again, very sunny and pretty hot which is good for the maturity of the grape.
