Amy is a great american woman who started her own wine estate with her husband: Domaine de la Gramière.
She recently came to Beaucastel with our friend Thierry Desseauve and posted about it on her blog.

PERRIN & FILS was in

Valencia

with Primum Familiae Vini (PFV) for the Vinoelite.

The Vinoelite is a great event during the Louis Vuitton Cup, with a common stand and a prestige tasting for selected members of the press and of the Institute of Masters of Wine.

Excellent interview of Marc Perrin on Graperadio.com.

A good way to understand our philosophy with PERRIN & FILS by learning more about the Southern Rhone Valley.

Château de Beaucastel, Hommage à Jacques Perrin 1989 Châteauneuf-du-Pape

score: 19,5

Really excellent and electric in its appeal it’s so thrilling. Extremely rich nose – very thick, sweet, positively clambers over the palate. So sweet it’s almost like black cherry jam – not a wine for the faint-hearted, but certainly a testament to skilful winemaking and vine growing in the southern Rhône - an exceptional expression of this exceptional vintage. To be sipped rather than glugged.

Seen today on the wine spectator's website in an interview of Guy Goldstein (sommelier of Paris-Nice and several other restaurants in NYC, great guy who purchased the JF Kennedy collection a few years ago):

WS: What’s in your personal cellar?
GG: I have a private cellar which consists of about 7,000 bottles. My personal favorites are Château Lafite 1900, Romanée-Conti 1945 and Beaucastel 1962.
