Once the cold weather begins to retreat in Winter and before the strong heat and drought of the Summer, we go through the vineyard and replace vines that have expired the year before. This is done in the March & April. Due to the advance average age, of our vines, we expect a mortality of about 2% of plants each year that, succumb to illness and/or age.  We remove then the dead stumps and remove the vine roots about 80cm in the ground.  We replant on “Selection Masale” regime.
